Thanks for the info on those bolts, have to find a good hardware store with plenty of metric. Next day I went to kick it over and nothing, it is not engaging at all. It does seem to work some when slowly kicking through, but this is not enough to fire the engine up.. I installed a TB 88 kit and some heavy duty clutch springs this weekend.

When I got my Ural, the previous owner said that the kick start had just stopped working one day (actually 100 percent believable).

My kick starter is also slipping and not engaging the motor when I kick it quickly.. Do I need a new gear box?

think as the clutch lever as a no-compresion lever when starting your bike!! Had to put the parts away each night, lost track of the order of the clutch plates, didn't have internet access.

Even wound up drilling the oil passage too big, but was able to fix that. I had the gear that meshes with the primary gear, on the wrong side of the gear that meshes with the clutch plate.

I'd say you either put the clutch together wrong or don't have it properly torqued.After I did my TB RH 88 kit and manual clutch I was heart broken to find the kick starter didn't work.I thought I knocked a spring or something off when I did the manual clutch kit.Turns out it will not work when pulling the clutch lever.Has something to do with the fact that it used to have an auto clutch.Recheck everything and properly torque the nut.I have a clutch nut socket if you need one.Better do it quick,bad weather on the way.I live in Bloomington.
Took it all apart nothing broken, everything in the right place and springs are lined up and taught. Newbies, introduce yourself here. I installed the TB 108 kit and the TB manual clutch kit. On these little bikes, if you hold the clutch lever in, it disengages the clutch, and because of the design when you kick it, it will not turn over the motor, the clutch just slips instead. JavaScript is disabled.

It's an intermittent problem but happens more often than not. I have leaned it to the left and it seems to be slightly better, but will still slip if kicked hard enough to try and fire the motor up.. Yeah that is what it sounds like...You arent trying to start it with the clutch lever pulled in are you? Does anyone have any insight to this issue?

Those are 5mm X 10mm long flat (countersunk) screws, you should be able to get them at a hardware store, like.

I made mine 2mm because that is what the manufacturer recommended. Next day I went to kick it over and nothing, it is not engaging at all.

Basically, the spring mechanism works but when you push down, there is just play and no feeling of gears engaging and there is no resistance on the push down (beside the spring pulling the lever back up). I replaced the screws as well with hex heads (allen key) for the flush screws and 6pt for the regular screws.

So i want ahead and installed HD clutch springs on my 06 110.
