I thought I must have put together the clutch wrong, so I took it apart, made sure the plates faced the right way and put it back together a few more times - same effect, even when using the original clutch springs. 5/64 rings a bell.It just seemed to me that it was supposed to be bigger than that.As far as idle,my bike does very little idling. by Mr Wazzock » Mon Apr 02, 2018 4:17 pm, Post

Thanks for the info on those bolts, have to find a good hardware store with plenty of metric. Next day I went to kick it over and nothing, it is not engaging at all. It does seem to work some when slowly kicking through, but this is not enough to fire the engine up.. I installed a TB 88 kit and some heavy duty clutch springs this weekend.
Had my 2013 fail like that during the warranty period (luckily). Some actually say there is low oil pressure at idle and it should be more like 1.5mm. PlanetMinis forum is the internet's largest mini bike community. Posted by jakewhitbrea on Jul 27, 2010. 69 Posts .

When I got my Ural, the previous owner said that the kick start had just stopped working one day (actually 100 percent believable).
My kick starter is also slipping and not engaging the motor when I kick it quickly.. Do I need a new gear box?
i could think to adjust it a bit.

An Independent Forum for Ural & Dnepr Motorcycle Enthusiasts since 2007, Post If it's like the SDG kickstart I saw the other day, there is a washer that fits on the kickstart shaft, that doesn't fit all the way down the shaft, keeps the pressure on the ratchet mechanism. by ekiss2010 » Mon Apr 02, 2018 2:31 pm, Post PlanetMinis forum is the internet's largest mini bike community.

think as the clutch lever as a no-compresion lever when starting your bike!! Had to put the parts away each night, lost track of the order of the clutch plates, didn't have internet access.
There is a ratchet inside the kickstarter gear in the gearbox, and has been known to fail, sounds like it's that. by :FI:Igor » Tue Apr 03, 2018 6:52 am, Return to “Ural/Dnepr 101 - Newbie Questions”, Powered by phpBB® Forum Software © phpBB Limited. by Wildhorse Cafe » Mon Apr 02, 2018 1:47 pm, Post I'm already thinking about making the jump to a 108.

Even wound up drilling the oil passage too big, but was able to fix that. I had the gear that meshes with the primary gear, on the wrong side of the gear that meshes with the clutch plate.
I'd say you either put the clutch together wrong or don't have it properly torqued. After I did my TB RH 88 kit and manual clutch I was heart broken to find the kick starter didn't work.I thought I knocked a spring or something off when I did the manual clutch kit.Turns out it will not work when pulling the clutch lever.Has something to do with the fact that it used to have an auto clutch.Recheck everything and properly torque the nut.I have a clutch nut socket if you need one.Better do it quick, bad weather on the way.I live in Bloomington.
Took it all apart nothing broken, everything in the right place and springs are lined up and taught. Newbies, introduce yourself here. You can probably find something that will work at any hardware store.I take it you got it working.Too bad it's too cold to ride now.It wouldn't run worth a crap any way.I got my TB RH 88 kit done last fall and haven't really done anything with jetting yet cause I'll just have to change it come spring. I'm kinda kicking myself for not getting the race head, thats about an extra 2 hp isn't it. I kicked it over and it started, several times. I chose to do this in my brothers garage, instead of my own. I hope you are not holding in your clutch? Discussion Starter • #1 • Jun 28, 2005. It's been a while, but isn't the hole supposed to be bigger than 2MM?I could be mistaken... TB recommends 2mm or 5/64". I kicked it over and it started, several times. I got one of those threadin kits too - a must have!
It was doing that with my manual tb kit. by Wildhorse Cafe » Mon Apr 02, 2018 2:37 pm, Post
It's an intermittent problem but happens more often than not. I have leaned it to the left and it seems to be slightly better, but will still slip if kicked hard enough to try and fire the motor up.. Yeah that is what it sounds like...You arent trying to start it with the clutch lever pulled in are you? Does anyone have any insight to this issue?
Those are 5mm X 10mm long flat (countersunk) screws, you should be able to get them at a hardware store, like.
I made mine 2mm because that is what the manufacturer recommended. Next day I went to kick it over and nothing, it is not engaging at all.

Basically, the spring mechanism works but when you push down, there is just play and no feeling of gears engaging and there is no resistance on the push down (beside the spring pulling the lever back up). I replaced the screws as well with hex heads (allen key) for the flush screws and 6pt for the regular screws.
So i want ahead and installed HD clutch springs on my 06 110.
